Moving from out of Province

Joanne Bandstra was integral in our search and purchase of our current home here in Chilliwack. We were moving in from another province and did not wish to waste time and money on renting temporarily while we looked in Chilliwack for a home that suited us.We contacted Joanne and let her know of our moving situation and wish list and she gamefully stepped up to the task of going to each house we had seen over the internet that showed promise as well as sending us new listing updates .

Joanne did not just go to the houses and give her opinion of their condition etc, she took detailed video and photos and sent them to us so we could make a better informed choice,this did include revisiting some homes for a second viewing and taking our family members, living locally in BC, to see the homes.

Joanne was very helpful in getting the home inspection done for us as well as very prudent in getting the purchasing paper work and the necessary legal personel working to make the final steps in purchasing as easy as possible without us having to come to BC prior to our actual moving date, we will definitely use Joanne again in all future real estate transactions.

Twice in a Year!!

I have had the pleasure of using Joanne twice with-in the last year. The first time we were in a hurry to sell as we had already purchased a new home. We called Joanne and she helped us come up with a fair market price and we sold 8 days later! A year later we had to sell our new home due to a work transfer. Once again we called Joanne. When we saw our home we knew we are going to buy, there was only one person we immediately called- Joanne.

She patiently showed us house after house & listened to our needs and wants. I really appreciated the fact that she did not just want to sell a house to us, but encouraged us to make our own decisions and respected our budget. She was truthful, honest and never tried to push up our budget. She always looked out for our best interest and whatever she did not know, she found out for us. We could call her all hours and she always responded quickly to our enquiries and requests. One day we drove by an openhouse and although we did not plan to get a town home, we fell in love with it! Buying an investment

I am writing this note for a friend as well as real estate agent.

I met Joanne last summer. I was not actively looking for a home for an investment however, I found a home for sale and it was listed by Joanne. As all of my previous real estate transactions with realtors have not been good experiences, I was reluctant to call her. I did call her for information on this property and she was readily available.

Joanne was very friendly (Not overbearing) and very informative. I arranged to meet with her, and I was very impressed with her knowledge and willingness to find answers for me.

This was not a straight forward transaction as she was the agent for both parties. She went over the top and had to work very hard to make this sale work. The house was very run down and needed a tremendous amount of work. She helped me with arranging inspections as well as gave me names of individuals who could help me with the necessary renovations. When I was not available to meet with prospective worker’s for estimates she went in my place. She spend hours of her own time to make sure that everything was upfront for both the seller as well as myself.

I would definitely hire Joanne in any future real estate transactions and have referred her to anyone I hear looking for property.

Joanne has absolutely changed my opinion of real estate agents and her colleagues should thank her for that. She is genuine, honest and trustworthy. In my opinion she represents the golden rule, (be thy brother’s keeper).
